A question for the microscope
Choose the observation before choosing the instrument.

MBG Türkiye / fieldnotes
Microscopy starts with a question, not a beautiful image. What feature needs to be seen? Is the sample living or fixed? Does the experiment require detail in space, in time, or both?
Different optical methods trade resolution, contrast and sample handling in different ways. Understanding those trade-offs helps make an observation interpretable.
A strong image also carries a record of how it was made: scale, preparation and the limits of the method.
