The cell at different scales
How a change of scale changes the questions we can ask.

MBG Türkiye / fieldnotes
Cells are not single, static objects. A microscope image reveals one kind of detail; a molecular assay offers another. Neither view alone tells the whole story.
A useful introduction to cell biology asks what each instrument can resolve and which structures stay out of view. The cellular membrane, nucleus and organelles all require different ways of looking.
Reading images with that distinction in mind makes the leap from a striking picture to a scientific explanation more careful.
